Point Systems


Checks & Balances

These systems are used to calculate the Net Run Rate, decide in cases of Ties and for preventing those above from being implemented.

Incremental Points System.

Batting

A Maximum of four (4) batting points to be available.
  • If a team score between 75 - 124 runs: that team earn (1) batting point
  • If a team score between 124 - 149 runs: that team earn (2) batting points
  • If a team score between 150 - 174 runs: that team earn (3) batting points
  • If a team score between 175 - and over: runs that team earn (4) batting points

Bowling

A Maximum of four (4) bowling points to be available.
  • If a team claimed between 3 to 4 wickets: that will earn (1) bowling point
  • If a team claimed between 5 to 6 wickets: that will earn (2) bowling points
  • If a team claimed between 7 to 8 wickets: that will earn (3) bowling points
  • If a team claimed between 9 to 10 wickets: that will earn (4) bowling points
  1. The team with the most points at the end of the qualifying rounds shall be the winner of that group. Should any two teams be equal in points , the team with the most wins will advance. If after applying rule (1) the situation was not remedied, then head to head clash will determined the winner. If for any reason(s) there was no head to head clash, then the net run rate will determined the winner. Similarly if three teams have equal points the net run rate will determine the winner.
  2. If a team failed to turn up for a game the team earning the walkover will gain a total of 5 points, being 1 point for batting and 4 points for bowling.
  3. When a team is bowled out below 75 runs the points will be awarded as follows:-
    1. Team batting first will acquire no batting points.
    2. Team bowling first will earned the respective bowling points as per wickets taken.
    3. Team batting second and scored the runs needed to win will earned 4 batting points less points revelant to wickets lost.
    4. Team bowling second will earned the respective bowling points as per wickets taken.

When a team comprising of less than 11 players and more than 6 players and is bowled out the bowling team will earned full bowling points.

Is used to achieve the team(s) that advances in a tournament.
Incremental Point System
Based on awarding points for better batting and bowling.
Bonus Point System
Additional points are awarded for better preformances.
